Lesson: Factors affecting growth 2
In this lesson we are going to explore a further 2 elements that plants need to grow. In our investigations we will explore whether plants need sufficient room and the reason for this. We will also observe the benefits of nutrients and which fertiliser provides the best food to provide maximum growth. Your teacher will tell you which scientific skill, either Planning or Presenting and analysing data or Evaluation, to focus on during this lesson.
Before you start
Print out the worksheet that is in the Resources section or alternatively download it to your computer to fill in digitally.
You will need the following items for the practical investigation in this lesson :
3 different types of plant food, scissors, water, some pipettes or droppers, plant pots, some soil, cress seeds, and an egg box.
